Alocasia wentii, known as Elephant Ears boast immense, spectacular foliage for planting in full sun to partial shade. They are a wonderful addition to the landscape or when planted in large containers, adding a touch of the tropics to your garden. They are also good near water - Koi pond owners may be interested to know that Alocasias are often planted in filter chambers where they suck every last drop of nitrate from the water. These are greedy plants and will produce the lushest of leaves if fed regularly. Grows best in full sun or dappled shade to a height of around 1-1.5metres. Each leaf can reach up to a metre in length itself.
